One man's junk is another man's treasure. This proverb is true to the life for Jen Sertl, who designs and artfully crafts sweaters, wraps and scarves from recycled cashmere under the name Angelina Accoutrements.

She definitely has the talent to change a ragged like sweater to create a new and fresh thing out of it. She crafts entire scarves, body wraps and baby blankets with a delicate ruffled edge out of old ragged cashmere.

Jen adorned her creations with ribbons and flower appliques made of Italian silk and velvet.

To harmonize her sweaters and wraps Sertl also designs jewelry hand tied, lace encapsulated pearls which can match up with long, raw silk skirts. Each Sertl creation of recycled sweaters is exclusive.

She displayed her designs at the Pronto Fashion Show, John Burroughs Unique Boutique and Schlafly Beer's Art Outside art fair.

Today her sweaters, wraps, scarves and skirts are sold at boutiques here and in Chicago. She also sells her unique at art shows and in-home trunk shows.
