Sri Lankan Apparel industry's new face

Sri Lanka's apparel industry is a major contributor to the country's economy. After its modest beginnings in the seventies, the industry today represents 43% of the country's total exports and contributes 39% to the industrial production of Sri Lanka. The apparel and textile industry at 46% is the largest contributor to the export revenue.
