S/S 2008 fabric collections with high fashion content at Prato Expo

The 57th edition of Prato Expo will be held at Fieramilanocity (Portello Area) from February 13 to 16 as part of Milano Unica – the Italian textile trade fair – that groups the five most important Italian trade fairs in the sector: Idea Biella, Idea Como, Moda In, Prato Expo and Shirt Avenue.

73 companies will present their Spring/Summer 2008 fabric collections at Prato Expo – located in Building 1 (former 16.1) – with fabrics for womenswear and casual menswear with high fashion content, representing the excellence of Italian creativity when it comes to innovative, high quality textiles. Among the participants will be five new entries and a number of companies from outside the Prato district.

Andrea Dall'Olio and his Studio A+A have identified five themes to define the fabrics for spring/summer 2008. Delicate; Zapping Culture; Eden; Mineral; Sun, Sun, Sun each of which represents an aspect of a season dominated by the exploration of new solutions in the contrasts between nature and technology, between crafts and industry, between past and future, between different cultures.

The result is always surprising: creativity and experimentation, maximum quality and sophisticated elegance. Prints and colors return to decorate the fabrics in delicate geometrical patterns or exuberant, creative splashes for a couture effect. Lightness, embossing, luminescence are the key words.

Pratotrade is a Consortium, created in 1979 on the initiative of the Industrial Association of Prato.
