As Andhra Pradesh Government is trying to convince textile sectors to set up spinning mills, certain mill owners of Tamil Nadu has shown keen interest to invest in that State.

According to sources, easy availability of land, man-power, cheap power etc are the major attraction for the mill.

About ten mills of Tamil Naidu are willing to set-up units in Andhra Pradesh, bearing in mind easy availability of capital which is not available in Tamil Nadu.

Many textile units have shown interest in setting-up units unless Government agrees to provide uninterrupted power supply.

But disruption of power supply during peak hours has significantly affected production of textile industry in the state.

Government not only has promised to provide land at lower cost but also to provide workers and to train them.

Tamil Nadu accounts for 35 to 40 percent to the income generated by the sector and it has also become one of the major sources of employment.
