ITKIB to set up Istanbul Fashion Academy

Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters Association (ITKIB) plans to set up The Istanbul Fashion Academy to help country's struggling apparel and garment industry.
Organization is expected to receive a fund of 13 million Euros from EU for this project.
This program, influenced by Italy's Fashion and Textile Cluster (FTC) concept, is EU's attempt to enhance Turkey's competitiveness in the global market.
The FTC will also aim to support Small and Medium size Enterprises (SME), which form 80 percent of the sector and also develop public and private support further.
