CAFT announces Anti-fur weekend with Harrods

CAFT's announces the Anti-fur weekend with Harrods from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th January.

To mark the end of Harrods Sale next week there will be a weekend of anti-fur activity at the store, with demos on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January. Campaigners have kept up the pressure over the vital Christmas and New Year periods on the only department store in the UK still selling fur.

Over 80 activists from all over the country took part in the very successful Christmas anti-fur week and we were back again for the opening of Harrods Sale (see the caft organisation websit under harrods section).

We will be protesting outside the store all this weekend, starting on Friday 26th Jan from 12noon, then on Saturday 27th from 11am, and Sunday 28th from 12noon.

Please contact us if you or your group can help out this weekend, and if you need help with travel costs or with accommodation. Remember Harrods is Europe's largest store, there are 12 entrances so the more activists who turn up, the more effective we can be.

This is a vital campaign for the whole anti-fur movement in the UK, Harrods is the last really big name in UK retailing not to have a fur free policy.

Inside Harrods there are concessions from EVERY one of the famous names in fashion you can think of, including all the famous fur pushers such as Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Alexander McQueen, D&G, J McDonald, Burberry etc etc etc, and this is the onlydepartment store where they can still include real fur in their collections.
