Building on the success of its first Neumag line, the Italian nonwovens producer Albis S.p.A. has decided to expand its spunbond capacities and has ordered a second Neumag spunbond plant. The order includes a three beam SMS (Spunbond/Meltblown/Spunbond) configuration and bico capability.
With a production width of 7 meters the new line represents the world's widest spunbond line up to now. The first installation which came on stream in 2005 comprises two beams, a meltblown unit, bicomponent capability and a production width of 5 meters.
