Kashmiri Craft exhibition underway in New Delhi

An exhibition of Kashmiri products, 'Karigiri Kashmiri Craft Bazaar' is being staged by Akhil Bhartiya Dastker Samiti and will showcase its products till February 4, at Leisure Valley New Delhi.

With a views to encourage Kashmiri women's work, Jammu & Kashmir State Women's Development Corporation has sponsored this exhibition.

Women's Welfare Sozini Centre group has an exotic range of shawls, suits, stoles done in sozini. Sozini work is being done on sarees also with the price ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000, said a craftswomen Nisara Ameen,

This exhibition showcases exclusive, bamboo and cane furniture, leather furniture, hand embroidered suits and sarees, jackets, bags, artificial flowers, imitation jewellery, dupattas.

Stoles dolled up with 'sippi work,' Pashmina shawls starting from Rs 50,000. Bed Covers with Aari work range from Rs 1500 to Rs 12000. Kinari, a much appreciated work is done with a matchstick

Craftsmen from Ahmedabad, Delhi, Vrindavan, Kolkata, Saharanpur have also displayed their products in this exhibition.

Cane furniture of Assam was a great attraction with dining sets, living room sets and swings made from bamboo offered at reasonable rate of Rs 4500 only.
