Restructuring of textile machinery assures benefits

Restructuring of textile machinery and products industry is one of high priority programs, declared by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono with aim to achieve rapid economic growth.
The program has been approved by the House of Representatives and the business world and Rp285 billion fund has been allocated for the state budget of 2007.
Presently most of the machineries used by textile industry of Indonesia are more than 20 years old.
After restructuring program many new jobs can be created and lots of workers can be absorbed.
Around 30 companies have shown inclination to join the program to be carried out by the government.
However, the textile industry fears that this program may get cancelled.
