Dhaka Textile Machinery Expo to boost productivity

A four-day fair of 'Dhaka International Textile and Garment Machinery Exhibition' will be held at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre starting from February 1 - 4, 2007.
The exhibition is organized by Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and ES Event Management SDN BHD, Malaysia.
Textiles and Jute Adviser Geeteara Safiya Choudhury inaugurated the Exhibition in the capital.
Ceremony was attended by Abdul Hai Sarker, President and Jamal Uddin, Vice President of BTMA, as well as Chong Chong Tik, Managing Director (MD) of ES Event Management SDN.
The fair is supposed to provide an opportunity for textile entrepreneurs, engineers and technicians to have a look at the latest developments in the international textile trade.
This will also help the country's apparel manufacturers to develop their competitiveness in regard of productivity, cost and quality to face the challenges in the global market.
About 350 exhibitors from 26 countries like Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Australia, the United States and Bangladesh are taking part in the fair.
