Karen Hall is going to open new store Granny's Attic which will offer fabric, quilting supplies, notions and other items.

The store is situated in the former Taylor County Extension Office building, next to Southern States.

Some of them is of the opinion that store has been opened to take advantage of Wal-Mart's decision to stop selling fabrics.

But Hall denies this possibility saying that initiative to open store is not influenced by the Wal-Mart decision. She plans to open the shop around March 3, 2007.

She was seeking perfect location for the shop and purchased building for $115,000.

She was planning to purchase fabrics from Wal-Mart and was disappointed by its decision.

Hall would try to include various varieties of fabrics which used to be sold at Wal-Mart.

She plans to offer sewing and quilting classes and customer survey on what people would like see offered at her store.
