At a vintage fashion show held at John Innes Center on February 3, 2007, Norwich County's textile heritage was commemorated with a rainbow of colours.

Show is part of a sell-out event aimed at collecting funds for Norfolk Museum Service's Costume and Textile Association. Models sported a range of chic wardrobes, including Black Orchid and Singapore Sling, having the theme 'decadent drinks'.

Graceful gowns and other evening wear were donated by women for the show, whose proceeds will be used by the association to maintain its collection.

Association, which has over 500 members, conducts a huge fundraiser annually to add new dresses to this collection according to Chairman Sue Ticktum.

Collection has national significance as it includes 20,000 items belonging to the period from 16th century till today, comprising 600 shawls as well as 700 pairs of shoes and boots.

Vice Chairman Vivenne Weeks, who had organized the show, appreciated the performance of volunteering models. Vintage show is anticipated to raise nearly £1,500.
