New York Fashion Week has globalized with a fusion of fashion trends from the East and the West.
At the big white tents set up in mid-town Bryant Park, designers from all across the globe are exhibiting their Autumn/Winter collections.
Weekend's opening shows displayed a variety of culture. US, Australian, French, Russian and Turkish designers participated in shows on February 3, 2007. French designer Christopher Lemaire's collection had Parisian chic looks.
Models walked the ramp draped in synthetic fibre autumn leaves, in a combination of khakhi and denim featuring stripey matelot knits.
Dungaree shorts topped with bright PVC macs, olive shirts accessorized with thick thighs, Harrington jackets with matching romper suits as well as jeans cropped to mid-calf over stack heeled boots were some of the attractions.
Blanket ponchos and jackets in dark olive and teal big checks amazed the audience.
