The commodity and raw materials exchange of Turkmenistan registered 54 deals last week. The demand for petrochemical products was particularly high.
While polypropylene attracted Russian consumers, Swiss, UK, Singapore, Belgium, Seychelles and Kyrgyz merchants demanded lint cotton and knitwear.
Traders from Russia, US, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Switzerland, British Virgin Islands, Iran, Georgia also purchased grey fabric, mixture of yarn and waste of cotton spinning, cotton yarn, knitwear as well as washed Sarajin wool and washed goat wool.
Turkmen purchased lint-cotton worth Manat 395,360 million for domestic use.
Sources revealed that the total value of foreign currency from these contracts amounted to US $39,247 million. The national currency on deposits exceeded Manat 18,667 billion.
