Chongqing to welcome another marketplace

A wholesale garment market called 'Zhaotianmen Market' is situated in Chongqing city over an area of 4,00,000 square meters. This market is to face stiff competition as another wholesale clothing market is being planned here over 3,00,000 square meters area.
Setting up of multiple markets in the same locale gave rise to serious problems in last few years. According to a local businessman, Chongqing city does not require two clothing markets.
Zhaotianmen Market, established in 1988, has emerged as one of the ten largest wholesale clothing markets in China. It employs more than 1,00,000 people and has about 15,000 shops.
