Glen Raven Custom Fabrics has introduced a new brand name for its growing collection of inkjet printable fabrics - Vivitex.
"We are continuing to enhance and expand our offerings of inkjet fabrics, and we created the Vivitex brand as an umbrella for these innovative fabrics," said Mike Von Wachenfeldt, digital fabrics product manager for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, the makers of Sunbrella and other performance fabrics.
"The new brand name represents a combination of 'vivid' and 'textiles,' which emphasizes the print clarity offered by our inkjet fabrics."
Glen Raven's Vivitex inkjet fabrics feature inkjet receptive coatings suitable for most solvent, eco-solvent and UV inkjet machines. Vivitex fabrics are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and are available in 54 and 60-inch widths.
Future development work with inkjet fabrics will include enhanced print clarity, wider fabrics, faster print speeds, reduced ink consumption and support for a broader array of markets, according to Von Wachenfeldt.
"Our goal is to push the performance envelope even further with inkjet printable fabrics, and we wanted a brand name that would help us in creating an expanded market presence," he said.
