Mimatas acquires Uzbek Aim Textile

Mimatas Textile Industry and Trade Corp is planning to acquire a large textile firm in Uzbekistan.
The contract to acquire Aim Textile Joint Corporation was signed between the National Bank of Uzbekistan (NBU) and Turkish firmMimatas Textile and Trade Corp in Andican, a province of Uzbekistan.
The Aim Textile Corporation, a joint venture between Uzbekistan-Switzerland firm, started its operations in 2003 and had a capacity to produce 4.4 tons of fabric and 4.2 tons of fibers annually.
The deal was worth US $48 million.
