Heimtextil 2007: Trevira CS shows its seaworthiness

For the first time Frankfurt Messe placed much greater emphasis on the contract sector at this year's Heimtextil. The event attracted some 350 exhibitors, all identifiable on the exhibition site with a Contract Creations logo, and also listed in a pocket guide.

This enabled visitors to track flame retardant materials with speed and efficiency. Over 160 of the exhibitors had Trevira CS collections on show.

One feature of the new contract concept was "Showcase Cruises". In a joint project with shipping line Peter Deilmann, Trevira presented visitors with exclusive design concepts, incorporating high quality Trevira CS fabrics in outfitting the mock-up of a ship's bow with textiles."

"The bed in the "Future" cabin was made up of fabrics by Coriex (throwover), Damino (pillows), drapilux (pillows), Mira-x (pillows) and Nya Nordiska (pillows). Dilhan Tekstil (cushions) and Saum & Viebahn (covers) supplied fabrics for the bench seat. The blue-spotted drape material for the windows came from Nya Nordiska, while the dark blue decorative fabric on them was a drapilux product.

The "Best Practise" cabin was finished in the classical style. The bed was made up of fabrics by the Gebrüder Munzert (throwover), Sahco Hesslein (pillows) and Intair (pillows), while the window decorations were created by materials from Sahco Hesslein (decorative fabrics) and Saum & Viebahn (drapes).
