Abilities Mela-2007 underway in the Capital

The third Abilities Mela-2007, to showcase products made by the disabled and promote public awareness about disability-related issues, was inaugurated at the Blind Relief Association campus here on Saturday.
Abilities Mela will display various products made by the disabled and would include handicrafts and garments.
Blind Relief Association along with Business and Community Foundation organized the Mela which seeks to promote opportunities for the disabled.
The mela inaugurated by National Youth Project Founder Director S. N. Subba Rao will also apprise disabled persons about self-employment opportunities.
A panel discussion conducted by a non-government organisation, Samarthya, included events like quiz and painting competitions.
