Textile & apparel units to be ranked on performance

Next month, 50 domestic enterprises will be awarded ranks on the basis of export volume and sales income earned last year.
The enterprises will be categorised under the eight sectors namely cotton, fiber, wool, linen, knitting, dyeing, silk and garment. The awards will be announced on March 17, 2007 in Beijing city.
In the ceremony, Government officials, leaders, industry experts, scholars and business representatives will participate.
This evaluation system of enterprises' competitiveness will be improved by China Textile Industry Association.
Enterprises can evaluate overall performance in previous year, compare itself from other units in the industry and plan operational strategy for future.
