As its opulent adversaries, the collection includes gloriously decadent chintzed wools, glistening sateen, seductively smoky silk sheers, opulent metallics and glamorous underground velvet.
The sexual soul and animal magnetism of the Berliner night is expressed through firm leather pieces and lavish fur Robes. Extravagant mink, flamboyant fox and blasé Tuscan lamb in black, cold whites and metallic are the beacons in the Noir fur collection developed in alliance with fur master of crafts Birger Christensen, the oldest furrier in Denmark and a purveyor to the Royal Danish Court, entitled “NOIR for Birger Christensen”.
The colour palette is inspired by Berlin in the dead of winter: the fading night breaking into dawn: the myth about the “Berliner Luft” and it's “amphetamine-like” air which made the heart beat wildly at night and reinvigorated the night people at dawn. Sensual blacks and midnight blues, smoky greys and greens paired with tarnished night club metallics epitomized the night. Broken whites take companionship with frosty blues and red wine lipped pinks in symbolizing the dawn.
