Textile firms design new strategy as a helping-hand

Textile companies have decided to introduce a new scheme that will help the struggling industry.
Scottish Administration and several unions have also supported this strategy, so as to upgrade the textiles to compete in global market.
This strategy is designed to develop high-end category and technical know-how. This aim is to encourage partnerships between firms as well as enterprises in sectors. This project will also increase quality environment for laborers, which will inturn increase employment in textiles.
James Sugden Managing Director, Johnstons of Elgin Cashmere, and Scottish Textiles Manufacturing Association Chairman, says, "We need a strategy that reflects the modern Scottish textiles sector so we can build its profile, build strong global brands, increase innovation and attract new talent to Scotland."
