TEXMAC INDIA impresses with a high international standard

Feb '07
The premiere of TEXMAC INDIA, which took place in New Delhi between 17 and 20 January 2007, was a resounding success. The idea of launching a textile machinery trade fair of international standard in India was very well received by exhibitors and visitors alike.

In total 200 exhibitors from 14 countries (comprising 60 Indian and 140 international companies) used TEXMAC INDIA 2007 as a platform for entering the growth market of India and further expanding their business contacts.

The organisers, IMAG, Internationaler Messe- und Ausstellungsdienst GmbH, and FDI – Fair Design had decided to hold the event in India´s largest exhibition centre, the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in New Delhi.

Here in four exhibition halls and national pavilions, the world´s most important textile-machinery manufacturing countries put on a display of their latest products from all areas of the production chain. The exhibitors were highly satisfied with the business they did during the fair and are very optimistic about post-fair business (three-quarters of the companies expect follow-on orders).

For the textile machinery sector India is one of the most important markets worldwide, with constantly increasing sales volumes. Demand for the entire product range of the textile machinery industry is expanding continuously. For the international suppliers, India is a market with tremendous growth potential. TEXMAC INDIA 2007 provided a tailor-made platform for exhibitors to make the most of that potential.
