Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka recently hosted the French fashion show 'Paris Comes to Dhaka' between February 9 and 10 this year.
Many high profile designers and dignitaries participated in the show.
In the show, French designers like, Jean Charlies De Castelbajac, Loewe, John Galliano, Jean-Louis Scherrer, Lemarie/Maitre D'art and Pascal Giacomini/Maroquinier, Eymeric Francois, Carven, Georges Chakra and Takada Par Kenzo Takada and domestic designers like Aneela Haque, Kuhu and Rina Latif showcased their collection.
Similarly, three domestic fashion institutes, BGMEA Institute of Fashion & Technology, The Fashion Institute of Designing Ltd and The Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology presented their collection at the show.
Only one Bangladeshi model Shaon and fourteen French models catwalk skipped out on the ramp.
In total 120 dresses were displayed and each Bangladeshi designers presented six dress.
Rina Latif's collection gave new angle to yester years and old world charm. Bangladeshi designer Aneela Haque displayed her collection based on the theme 'East meets West'.
Moreover, Kuhu's collection was in monochromic colour, ocean blue and earthy tones. Her collection was based on the theme 'A beautiful, gorgeaous, elusive, mysterious Bangladeshi girl, every man desire'.
