From 13 to 20 September 2007, the Oeko-Tex Association will be taking part for the first time in the world's most important textile machinery show, ITMA. On the stand, representatives of all the Oeko-Tex member institutes will take turns to tell the specialist public about the benefits of being certificated under Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Oeko-Tex certification does represent an interesting marketing tool even for the manufacturers of textile machinery, because innovative machine technologies give textile and clothing manufacturers increased accuracy in their production, and this in turn makes it easier for them to comply with the required Oeko-Tex criteria as part of their operational quality control.
The International Oeko-Tex Association, a grouping of 14 well-known textile research and test institutes in Europe and Japan, with representative agencies and contact offices in over 30 countries worldwide, is responsible for the independent tests for harmful substances according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
