A new textile complex occupying 43 hectares land area near Ashgabat International Airport was inaugurated recently by Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, Acting President of Turkmenistan. This complex is among largest of its kind in Central Asia.
BVI based Folkestone Holdings Inc constructed the complex as per directives from Ministry of Textiles. First production line of the complex has been launched with an investment of US $113 million in building and equipments.
Complex houses a pedestal for product promotion, a trade center with two floors and a three storey office building spread over 4,000 square meters. It proposes annual production capacity of 19 million apparel pieces and 4,900 tons of dyed terry cloth.
Gurbanguly paid a visit to interrelated weaving, sewing and dyeing workshops, which endorse modern equipments supplied by top enterprises from countries like Germany and Japan.
