The ongoing Gujarat Handloom and Handicraft exhibition at Sankara Hall, Alwarpet, has been enticing visitors to its stalls displaying creations typical of Gujarat for wardrobe and home décor items.
The exhibition is on till February 22.
The Gujarat State Handloom, Handicrafts and Industrial Cooperatives Federation, has 12 emporiums all over the country. It has displayed gold and silver jewellery, beadwork, puppets and leather and embroidery.
Printing with mordant dying is the special technique in many parts of Gujarat.
Bandhini, or tie and dye, fabric which is intricate and refined in design is made in Saurashtra and Kachh.
