Paraguay also has a growing domestic market for organic textiles and a developing manufacturing base for organic textiles. Also within this region, Peru specializes in long staple cotton, as does Brazil, while organic cotton is grown and/or processed in Nicaragua and Colombia.

April 16th: Regional Farm Development The first day of the meeting will focus on mapping fiber production and supply chains in the region, identifying opportunities and challenges in growing the fiber supply and the supply chains regionally and creating a collective path and strategy forward for farm development in the region.

April 17th & 18th: Regional Supply Chains The second and third days of the meeting will be an opportunity to increase your understanding of sourcing and manufacturing in the Latin American region, and to look at both the opportunities and challenges in the region.

You can also learn about supply chain transparency and our on-line tracking service, successful sustainable business models in the region and how to get started in organic cotton.

April 19th: Organic Farm and Manufacturing Tour These trips will prove to be enjoyable and very educational for those who want a very hands-on experience of organic cotton farming and manufacturing.
