Audi Joburg Fashion Week 2007 was held between February 14 and 17 at Nelson Mandela square in Sandton City. This high profile event was graced by first lady Zanele Mbeki, Joburg personalities and also Capetonians.
Winter's vague trends included tartan, wool, fur as well as camouflage. While there were some excellent dresses, few others were unattractive which seemed to be prepared hastily. A circus kind of atmosphere was created by a marching band, props and models who acted.
Camouflage inspired outfits and use of pleasant colours by popular designer David Tlale mirrored elegant winter visions. Tailored suits and puffy jackets by Craig Port presented in the 'New Olympians' show impressed audiences.
Models flaunted 'Free' range of organic clothing from Fundudzi. Made from cotton, bamboo, corn and soy, this range has the concept of clothing with a conscience and is simple yet sophisticated.
