ZIPZ Shoe System named 'Most Innovative' at Kids Magic Shoe Show

It all began with a simple idea. What if you could own one pair of shoes, but have the ability to replace different uppers, soles and even insoles to change your look, mood and style? Entrepreneur Jerry Stefani designed the ZIPZ shoe system to do just that.

ZIPZ were unveiled last month at the Kids Magic Shoe Show in Las Vegas where the shoe was recognized as “most innovative” new product.

The ZIPZ system features a canvas tennis style shoe with interchangeable covers (uppers), cores (insoles) and souls (soles) and will be initially manufactured in unisex sizes for infant/toddler sizes (4 – 11) and youth sizes (12 – 4).

ZIPZ come packaged with one sole and a set of two zip-on zip-off canvas tops available in a variety of prints and colors. Separate covers, cores and soles in a variety of coordinating colors with names like pink lemonade and sno cone blue will be sold separately.

Plans to expand the line with coordinating hats, handbags and other accessories with the ZIPZ system are in the works. Stefani explains, “There is considerable interest from retailers to carry ZIPZ, but an official announcement is pending.”
