Value competitive era of garment industry approaches

Having witnessed major ups and downs in the first quarter in 2006, China's garment production returned to relatively stable growth rate by April.

In 2006, demand of exports and domestic market increased by different degrees, but apparel production growth rate significantly fell.

With competition in international market and upgradation of local apparel consumption, large domestic enterprises further developed and expanded. Commercial traders and powerful enterprises in other fields also gave a tough fight, which accelerated local garment industrial restructuring for competition.

Volume competition gradually retreated from the mainstream competition model. A new era of competition unsealed its prelude with famous brands, value and innovation as the core.

Enterprises engaged in business restructuring to complete the adjustment of product structure and market restructuring. They started to head for a quality-oriented, value-based, innovative competition.

Market competition is approaching the development of value competition.
