Hangzhou promotes brand building for silk & ladies wear

From 2007 onwards, the development fund for Hangzhou silk and ladies' wear industry will be increased from 20 million yuan to 30 million yuan, so as to vigorously promote the brand building for silk and ladies' wear.

Recently the leading team for the development of Hangzhou silk and ladies' wear said, "Currently, the urgent task is to build brand concept in industrial development.”

According to China Garment Association statistics, among 30 garment industrial cluster regions in countries, the number of garment enterprises in Hangzhou is on the top, but the obvious problem in Hangzhou industry is lack of prominent brands, in particular, less well-known brands.

OEM processing is still the main export mode for Hangzhou enterprises. Lack of famous brands has become the bottleneck in the development of Hangzhou silk and ladies' wear industry.
