The Woolmark Company's, Project Leader, Easy Care Wovens, Dr Kevin Byrne, has worked with TAL Apparel to achieve a unique level of product performance combined with a typical wool handle. The trousers are now being marketed in the US with a number of key retailers, chief amongst these, Levi, under their Dockers brand.
“There is a significant trend in the US towards smart/casual products through certain retailers traditionally associated with sports/casual, such as Levi and Tommy Hilfiger,” adds Brenda McGahan. “Brands which either seek to raise their smart/casual business or move into the classic, refined more luxurious market offer terrific potential for wool.”
