Woman-2007, Celebrating womanhood, exhibition gets underway

'Woman-2007, Celebrating womanhood,' a three day exhibition for women opened in the city today.

It will showcase latest trends in linen, artefacts, home furnishings and designer jewellery for contemporary women and provide a platform for designers and exhibitors from all across the country.

Buyers can go for couture variety from collection of Ablaze Studio, Dolly Jhunjhunwala, Siaram Arts, ANZ Designs, Bandhej by Naina Jain, Sonu Gandhi from Ludhiana DG's Haute Couture etc.

Jewellery designer Punita Trikkha, Aastha Art Jewellery and Vikas Diamonds of Karol Bagh showcase their collections in accessories and designer jewellery.

As for home furnishings, brands like Jesia, Dawn to Dusk etc offer wide options which include cotton/silk handwoven and handloom textiles in ethnic and traditional motifs for curtains, bedspreads, cushion covers etc.

“We are not only providing a window to modern women to recognise the latest in fashion and trends, but also giving a platform to top market leaders in the women's arena, to exhibit their entire range of products” said Maninder Sethi, Director, Excelsior.

The exhibition will also be organised at Chandigarh, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
