Mido's 37th Show, the world-renowned International Exhibition of Optics, Optometry and Ophthalmology, is looking more and more like the most sought-after event of the year. The signs couldn't be more clear: the initial lay-out for Mido in Milan's new Rho–Pero Fairgrounds has already been filled to capacity and a seventh pavilion (Number 6) has been added in order to ensure fair allocation of space and visibility for all exhibitors.

Although still preliminary, the numbers speak for themselves, pointing to an increase in allocated exhibition surface area of more than 10% over 2006; with a spike of about 8% in the number of exhibitors from around the world, compared to the previous year's show.

The new lay-out will cover 7 pavilions -- the first 6 pavilions: 1-3, 2-4 and 5-7, plus the recently-added pavilion 6. Participants entering through the East Gate, the entrance where the Milan Fair's on-site subway station is located, will immediately find pavilions 1, 3 and 5, home to the manufacturers of eyewear frames and sunwear.

Pavilion 2 will host exhibitors of lenses, and 4 makers of frames and the international group stands. Mido Design Lab and the Press Village will occupy pavilion 7, and pavilion 6 will be devoted to Mido Tech, the area set aside for machinery, and the manufacturers of components, along with other service areas, such as the Foreign Club.

The pavilions will be outfitted with new service and relaxation areas like the Exhibitors' Lounge, open to all exhibitors.
