Kirkcaldie & Stainsis breaking with tradition and holding its first off-site fashion event at the Wellington Town Hall on Tuesday 13 March. The decision to move the seasonal instore fashion parades - which have become a much anticipated occassion for customers - heralds the new direction Kirkcaldies is taking to become the fashion destination in Wellington.
The event will display nine marvelous Maori korowai from artists around New Zealand, spectacularly woven from fine, soft, stripped leaves of the flax bush.
A whole host of models including celebrity models Lorraine Downs and Rodney Hide will show the latest fashions from the autumn collection selected from a stable of European, Australian and
New Zealand designers including Armani, Jane Daniels, Ashley Fogel, RM Williams and the new Strellson men's label.
The show will include women's, men's and children's wear, lingerie and fashion accessories.
A team of stylists from top Wellington hair salon Buoy will be responsible for the models hair and Dior will create the latest makeup look straight from the catwalks in Paris.
Doors open at 6pm for the show which starts at 6.30pm.
