Kerala Govt's dress code a flop show?

Two months back the State Government has introduced a dress code among its employees to be followed on Saturdays. This initiative to promote handloom has miserably failed among the staff.
As part of the promotion, men were encouraged to wear Mundu and women handloom saree. At first the scheme showed good response. Almost 80 percent of the staff had responded positively and worn the dress code on Saturdays.
But with the passage of time things changed. Very few employess in the secretariat wear the dress. Now only committee members of the Association wear Mundu on Saturdays.
