Handicraft Expo to enhance production of artisans

IMPHAL:
A 10 day exhibition named 'Gopinath handicraft Exhibition,' organised by State Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Imphal under sponsorship of Ministry of Textiles, was inaugurated at GM Hall here today.
The exhibition was held with the objective of enhancing product and expanding scope of handicraft produce of State artisans.
Inaugural programme was held with KVIC Chairman Dr Bidur Uddin, Joint Secretary of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Y Neta and APO (KVIC) O Dhaneswar as the Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honour respectively.
Dignitaries and invitees stressed upon augmenting handloom and handicraft products to meet the growing demands of these items in both domestic and international markets, in their brief addresses on the occasion.
