CII SME mission explores trade ties in UK

“We envisage attractive business opportunities in the United Kingdom and are very keen to translate the positive deliberations into trade ties.” This was the sentiment expressed by members of the CII SME IT Mission to the United Kingdom on their return to India.
Enthused by the success of the last CII SME Mission to the United Kingdom in June, 2006, and in keeping with CII's initiative to give Indian SMEs greater exposure to relevant technologies & innovations, CII Northern Region facilitated the second consecutive Mission to UK from 12th to 16th March 2007.
Considering the fact that the UK is India's second largest trading partner and the largest market for Indian IT Services, the Mission's broad intent was to enhance business ties as well as explore possibilities of Joint Ventures, information sharing on supply of know-how, patents, technical cooperation & opportunities for setting up partnership agreements with British SMEs, understanding potential business opportunities, networking & sharing best practices.
The Mission was led by Mr. Partap Aggarwal, Chairman, CII Chandigarh Council and Managing Director, IDS Infotech Ltd, and comprised distinguished entrepreneurs representing the IT sector to include Mr Sameer Jain, CEO, Net Solutions, Chandigarh, Mr Harshvir Singh Jaspal, Director, Drish Infotech Ltd, Mr Puneet Vatsayan, Director, Mobera Systems Pvt Ltd, Mr Rajan Vasudevan, CEO, Safaltek Software Pvt Ltd, Chandigarh, Mr Munish Jauhar, CEO, GrayCell Technologies Exports, Mr M S Katoch, CEO & MD, Kawa Institute of Management and Technology, Jammu, Mr Vineet Sachdev, Director, Boss BPO, New Delhi, Mr Maneet Singh, Vice President, ADI Backoffice Professionals Pvt Ltd, Ms Ratika Jain, Head of CII's UK Office and Maj C S Bachhar, Director, CII (NR).
