The first destination was Belfast in Northern Ireland, where delegates were briefed by 'Invest Northern Ireland' on investment opportunities in Northern Ireland followed by a meeting with 'Momentum' the ICT Federation in Northern Ireland. The delegation also interacted with members of the Northern Ireland Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The meeting with Lord Diljit Rana, MBE, Honorary Consul General of India to Northern Ireland, threw further light on investment opportunities and mutual trade.
The 13th & 14th of March saw the delegation visiting The Glasgow University, Hillington Park and Alba Innovation Centres in the picturesque locales of Glasgow and Livingston in Scotland. Deliberations at both these Centres enlightened delegates on the incubation and handholding process undertaken by these Centres through research and development as well as infrastructure and advisory services, to turn fledgling businesses into flourishing enterprises.
The delegation also had a meeting with the President of Scottish Tech tour, to understand the nuances of doing business with Scottish IT companies.
