Bebe & Bar-El open LA Week with war & peace fashion

Designer David Cardona showcased his bebe collection that was inspired by military styles, offering glossy textures, sleek cuts and precise strokes.
Christened 'War and Peace', the couture included leather minis and flowy dresses with hoods and prominent gold zippers, accessorized with tie-scarves.
Describing the range, designer said, “It's war and peace in more of a literal sense, rather than the Tolstoy novel. It's not period. It's a little toy soldier meets a sexy little girl and becomes a peaceful angel.”
Colors were restricted to shades of military greens, khakis, black and red. All creations flaunted 'Peace' logos, somewhere or the other.
Many celebs including bebe spokeswomen Eva Longoria alongwith Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell made it to the show.
Dina Bar-El collection, here, brought the 1940s lady like fashion to stage. Elegant gowns and sleek skirts were crafted from fabrics usually allotted for menswear.
This 'Burlesque' collection flowing, overwhelming chiffon and taffeta gowns with long trails that went well with long silk gloves and exquisite hats.
Hue palette consisted of red, black, silver and bronze, as well as military greens and deep blues.
