Henan spring cotton plantation area widens this year

Henan spring grain planting area will be increased this year, according to Henan Provincial Agriculture Department.
Spring sowing area in Henan is expected to be around 38 million mu this year, a slight increase over the previous year. Area will be more than 7.2 million mu, up 100,000 mu from the previous year.
Since the start of this year, Henan province offered subsidies for purchasing quality cotton seeds. So this year, spring cotton area will be go up to about 10 million mu. (One hectare = 15 Chinese mu).
