Sharp growth in printing & dyeing cloth production

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, China had 2372 above-scale enterprises in dyeing and printing industry in 2006. The industry realized 203.154 billion yuan of industrial output value, a year-on-year increase of 15.84 percent. Total assets amounted to 162.3 billion yuan, a boost of 12.16 percent.
Sales income hit 195.023 billion yuan, up 15.09 percent over the previous year. Total profits completed 6.209 billion yuan, a rise of 1.255 billion yuan over the previous year, a growth of 25.34 percent. Export shipment value achieved 62.447 billion yuan, an increase of 3.31 percent. The overall industry employed 554,000 people, a climb of 3.42 percent.

This showed rapid development in production of printing and dyeing cloth, reflecting the more obvious growth-rate of the industry.
