POH Medical Center announces their 1st Sister & Sister Fashion & Beauty Extravaganza to benefit the Free Mammogram Program for Underserved Women, supported by The POH Riley Foundation. The fashion & beauty extravaganza will take place at a Bloomfield Hills Country Club, on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 beginning at 11:00 in the morning.
This event begins with a mini-makeover, silent auction and hors d'oeurves reception, followed by a luncheon and fashion show featuring The Ellen Tracy Spring 2007 Collection. For every $100 raised, one complimentary mammogram for an underserved woman will be sponsored.
POH Riley Foundation's goal is to raise $25,000 which will give 250 women or cancer survivors an opportunity to have a mammogram screening at no charge. Individual tickets are $100 and sponsorships are available.
Jessica Krock, one of many working - uninsured women was the first recipient of the free mammogram program for underserved women. According to Jessica, "It's a week worth of pay and it's really not a priority, but with me thinking there might be something wrong, I would simply have to forego it because I just can't afford it."
All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Free Mammogram Program supported by The POH Riley Foundation which helps to make a difference in the health and well-being of the community we serve. For more information or reservations to the Sister & Sister 2007 Fashion & Beauty Extravaganza.
