Memphis Exchange donates $150k to Cotton Museum

Cotton Museum at 65 Union received donation of US $150,000 from Memphis Cotton Exchange board of directors
Exchange also approved challenge grant for the same amount. The grant will be in effect by the year end.
President John Bondurant explains that Museum is a perfect way to make people aware of the importance of cotton industry and Memphis's role in the global arena for past 130 years.
He further added, "We are willing to offer the $300,000 for this cause if others in the community also show support. That is why we called for a full $150,000 to be matched."
The donations will be used to cover construction debts of the Museum.
Calvin Turley Museum Founder beamed, "The idea of raising $450,000 is very exciting, and we very much appreciate the Exchange making both the gift and the challenge." said.
