Total petroleum product exports in the first two months of 2007 reached LKR262,5 million (US $24.2 mn) as against LKR3236 million ($31.7 mn) in same period of 2006, representing a drop of nearly 19 percent.
Textile and apparel exports surged 21.3 percent during the period to touch LKR527,49 ($485mn) million as compared to LKR434,69 million in 2006 period.
Leather and Rubber product exports earned LKR10230 million ($94.2 mn), recording year-on-year rise of around 31 percent.
Overall exports of Sri Lanka grew significantly by almost 18.5 percent to stand at around LKR908,14 million or $836.2 million.
