Textile prices show firm trend

On April 23, PTA, MEG prices went up, prices of bright and semi-bright polyester chips, CDP chips, PET bottle cuts were stable. Price of polyester staple fiber kept firm. Acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm, and acrylic top 3D × 102mm prices settled flat. Prices of CPL, Nylon 6 chips were unchanged.

Polyester filament market looked as usual. But Shengzhe factory raised the price of part of FDY items in its ex-factory price quotation.

From the overall market conditions, various types of conventional filaments were under the control of downstream cloth market, but spinning factories could still push sales. Driven by the demand of part of filament items, filament market is expected to remain a modest up-going trend. Cotton yarn and cotton-polyester yarn prices remained unchanged.

Although cotton yarn prices kept the same level with last weekend, viscose yarn price presented an inertia rise, the price of viscose staple fiber rose again, average price on the current market reached 17,700 yuan per ton. It is expected that viscose yarn items will have more space for improving.
