Swift production may cause fluctuations in economy

Deputy Director of SDRC Economic Operation Bureau Zhu Hong Ren pointed out recently that the overall economic situation is currently good. However, some prevailing problems, such as high growth rate of industrial production, need special attention.
Zhu said that the accelerated growth pace of industrial production would on one hand improve the overall national economic growth, but on the other, excessively consume energy resources, increase pollution, add to the difficulty of restructuring, pressurize stable economic growth and even lead major fluctuations in economies.
Hong Ren said at a recent press meet that industrial economic situation was good in the first quarter. Economic operation quality and efficiency had further improved.
The coordination in development of the regional economy had also advanced. Conditions that backed the economic operations continued to be enhanced. Industrial structural adjustment was actively promoted and progress was made to control energy consumption.
