AP Govt exhorts depts to buy cloth from APCO

Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP) is keen to better the pircutre of handloom weavers of the state as Govt has instructed all departments to purchase cloth from Andhra Pradesh State Handloom Weavers' Cooperative Society Ltd (APCO) for their uniform requirements.
Departments like police, prisons, RTC, endowments, Social Welfare, Singareni Collieries and fire services are exhorted by Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Chief Minister, to buy cloth from cooperative society.
APCO is also urged to purchase required cloth from weavers' cooperative societies and meet their yarn requirements.
Government will also disburse funds to these departments, informed the CM.
