High interest causes misery for handloom weavers in AP

About the role of APCO, Koteshwar states that 70 percent of the stocks are sold by the Cooperative Societies themselves while the rest 30 percent is marketed off by APCO.

Koteshwar suggested that scheme should be flexible as per the needs of a weaver. There should be no subsidy and all loans and advances should be given to them at 3 percent interest to all; the weaver, Society as well as the Apex Society. These three steps will ensure an active worker to make profits without any additional support or assistance from the Government.
